Littlefield Technologies is a factory simulator that allows students to compete with each other over the web while developing operations management skills. It has been successfully used at the graduate and undergraduate level by thousands of students at more than a dozen universities.
Littlefield Technologies was developed by Sunil Kumar and Samuel C. Wood at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Stanford has licensed the simulator to Responsive Learning Technologies, which has implemented it in a way that multiple universities can access it over the web. No software needs to be installed to use the simulator. Both the instructor and the students access their pages over the internet using standard browsers.
