Examples of Questions and Instructional Pages in Accounting Foundations

Questions:

There are multiple questions to assess each skill in Accounting Foundations. The software chooses questions based on how well the student has answered previous questions, with the objective of minimizing the total number of questions required to assess all the skills selected by the institution. Click below to see examples…

A question to assess the skill: Identify the liabilities portion of a balance sheet

A question to assess the skill: Show how a customer purchase on credit affects the balance sheet

Instructional Pages:

More than 20 instructional pages teach the available skills in Accounting Foundations. After completing an assessment, Foundations directs the student to the specific pages that cover the skills the student was assessed as lacking. In some cases there may be instructional pages that only cover skills that were not selected for inclusion in the assessment. The institution may choose to leave those pages visible or hide them. For example, some academic clients only assess a small subset of skills but include the other instructional pages for further optional preparation. Other institutions choose to hide instructional pages that cover topics they do not want students to see before starting the program. Click on the links below to see the first two pages that make up the module.

Note: Most versions of mozilla-based browsers like Firefox will not display all the videos or rollover text correctly. If you have trouble, please open the page with Internet Explorer or Safari. When viewing a video, be sure to have your speakers turned on. When you see text in blue, roll your cursor over the text (do not click on the text) to see the rollover text.
